I started august in the alps at altitude putting in lots of hard work for my last block of racing towards the end of the block my form was building really nicely and the long climbs and thin air were really getting the best out of me, I was extremely exited for my upcoming races.
I was looking forward to ronde des vallees, sadly it really didn’t go my way with mechanical problems and then on the last stage I experienced a very heavy crash on a decent, I don’t remember what happened exactly after blacking out and forgetting the incident all I can remember was making it into the reduced front group over the climbs, i spent the next 9 days in french hospital with a wide range of injuries, the end of August has been extremely hard for me starting my re-hab, I am still unable to walk without assistance, but I will comeback stronger than ever 😊.
