Finally the long winter miles have come to a end, I do enjoy the process of the winter of putting the hard work in and seeing the improvements the bad weather the grim sessions and the gritty roads make it harder but some what more enjoyable and makes completing the sessions feel even better, but now I am ready and raring to get racing.

I have had the biggest and best winter ever this year it was definitely the hardest the British weather through lots at me but I have managed to produce a brilliant wrap off winter training, this was my first winter with my new coach and it has been brilliant I have seen brilliant consistent improvements in every area, and the improvements weren’t just on the bike but in the gym and the mind, recently I have noticed so many professional riders struggling with the mental side of cycling so I have been working on that and my aim for 2025 is to enjoy racing my bike and gain as much experience as I can in the European Peleton, and the results will come but I have taken the pressure off.

I started my season of at the portsdown classic/ perfs national B this race has always been quite a intriguing race to me as it is so local to me, since I  started racing I have riding down and watched it so I was so excited to get on the start line, I knew it was going to be a hard race with many continental level riders and full time riders  on the start list but that only made me more excited to test my early season legs, I managed to stay in the reduced front bunch and sprint for 25th witch I was content with as a first year junior and more importantly I really enjoyed being back in the peloton.

I had a few more weeks of tipical British weather before  I made the move to Europe and  finally headed to train in the sun for a week with my new team, I had a brilliant time meeting and getting to know my team mates under the sun and this has only made me more excited for the up and coming season and now I am settling in and unpacking in my new home with a lovely family, and really looking forward to experiencing the French racing seen with my first race being the malpi classic on the first off March, and this kicks of a big 5 week block off racing with 7 races!!

I couldn’t do any of this without the huge support from many sponsors friends and family so thank you and I hope you enjoyed this little insight to my winter and early season preparation.
