July has been a relatively quite month on the racing side of things, with only two small stage races, of which I am disappointed with my race results.
The month started off with The Classique des Bourbons, on stage 1 I helped position my team mate for 3rd and got myself 16th and 5th young rider. Stage 2 was a disappointing Time Trial for me, messing up the corners in the rain and stage 3 I tried all day to make it into a breakaway but couldn't make anything stick and got stuck behind a crash with a few kilometres to go ruining any hopes of a result.
I headed home for a block of training before Vallee de la Trambouze, I had an extremely disappointing Time Trial to start the race off making many mistakes. Stage two went better for me, I was fighting all day in a reduced bunch on a hilly course, coming down the decent into the final sprint I posishend myself badly but managed 25th witch I am slightly disappointed with after such positive feelings all race.
I have spent the end of the month in the Alps preparing for the last racing block of the season on the long windy climbs.
