I have had a long 5 months since a big crash in August, while being let out of hospital too early has caused many extra problems prohibiting me from training properly due to nerve damage in my skin. This caused extreme pain while sweating while also battling liver damage and problems with my knee cap since surgery.
Finally I managed to get back on the bike in the middle of January and start to slowly build the miles back up and hopefully leave most of my health problems behind me. I plan on a later start to my 2026 season to give my body enough time to physically and mentally get in the best shape possible to come back stronger than ever from my accident.
Reflection on my 2025 season:
Overall I think my 2025 season was a brilliant learning experience. I got a large amount of racing experience in which I was lacking, the team helped me develop massively as a rider on and off the bike. By moving to a different country and experiencing a new culture and throwing myself head first into a new environment of racing, I am pleased on how I have developed and believe I can achieve strong result in the 2026 season.
